Michigan’s finest, Flint Eastwood, releases her video for “Queen,” co-directed and edited by Flint Eastwood [Jax Anderson] herself, ahead of SXSW next week and her spring headline tour. Talking about the video, Jax says: “it was made with a bunch of friends in Detroit, MI. I wanted to create a feeling of empowerment and confidence in unused spaces. Queen is about taking charge and owning up to your own kingdom, and in a way I wanted to showcase mine.”

The track is a fitting tribute to human rights with a focus on female empowerment, and stands tall as the first offering from her forthcoming Broke Royalty EP, out on Neon Gold Records on April 14th. Featuring collaborations with GRiZ, Paul Meany of MUTEMATH and Tommy English (BØRNS). “Queen” went to #3 on HypeM having received extensive blog pick up internationally, and is currently in rotation on Ebro’s Beats 1 radio show, as well as CIMX in Detroit & Live 105 in San Francisco.
