My Body is Jordan Bagnall and Darren Bridenbeck, the band currently resides in their native Portland and was formed in 2012.  Jordan leads the project as the primary producer and songwriter.  She uses her classical training to create catchy electronic pop that is avant-garde and decidedly unique.  The upcoming Seven Wives was inspired by their time living in Brooklyn & Steven Milhauser’s short story Thirteen Wives.  The influence of the short story is also a part of their EP Six Wives and weaves the records together.

More downtempo than the other tracks off Seven Wives, “Pomme” highlights My Body’s light, folksy vocals more than ever, softly dark beats in the backdrop emphasising the emotional weight behind the vocals. Lyrically, the single captures the heartache of feeling too possessive of the one you love. My Body consistently delivers powerful music, evocative words, and thoughtful contemplation, and “Pomme” continues this trend with its insightful exploration of the many facets of love and the self.

 Jordan Bagnall On Writing “Pomme”:
“Sometimes, even when you’re in love with the most amazing, loving and supportive person things don’t go well, and over possessiveness and jealousy set in. Being in love makes you crazy some days.

The show with Phantogram at Portland’s famous Crystal Ballroom on Dec 8th had to be cancelled, but new dates will be announced soon.
