MAX KERMAN TO PERFORM AT BENEFIT FOR SYRIAN REFUGEES HOSTED BY THE NATIONAL
Rock quintet Arkells shared the video for their new song “A Little Rain” from their highly anticipated new album, Morning Report, out August 5 via Last Gang Records/eOne in the U.S. and Universal Music Canada. The video premiered on Clash Music, who called the song “an open, emotive return, one that is both lyrically rich and musically engrossing.” The song was released last month when it was featured in an official Toronto Blue Jays promo spot. “A Little Rain” is also featured in a current episode of Netflix’s Bloodline.
When asked about the song, Max said, “it may sound like I’m talking about finding God in Saint Peter’s Cathedral, but this song is really about my friendship with an old Communist Jewish guy name Pete. Peter Rosenthal – look him up! He’s an activist lawyer representing folks who often don’t have a voice. He’s been a friend to my family and me for many years, and I love the man and everything he represents.”
Singer, Max Kerman will perform at “Welcome to Hamilton” today Friday, June 3. The event is a star-studded concert raising funds to support Syrian newcomers to their hometown of Hamilton, ON. Organized by The National, the concert will feature intimate performances from The National, Kevin Drew (Broken Social Scene) and more.
