London based 5-piece Suzerain will release their new album ‘Identity’ on May 27th via BrainZone/Republic of Music. It was produced by double Grammy Award winner Steve Lyon.
The long awaited follow up to their 2011 debut album ‘Midnight In The Drawn City’ and the 2012 ‘A Mirror Now’ EP, Suzerain return with a darker more industrial sound, taking inspiration from the likes of Depeche Mode, NIN & Berlin era Bowie.
With a remoulded and refocused sound from their debut, and pushing themselves to the limits of perfection, ahead of the album comes the hypnotically building ‘Always’. The follow-up to their successful cover of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” (released December 2015 just before his death), ‘Always’ is available via all major stream services now:
STREAM ‘Always’:
Talking about the song, frontman Tom Pether explains “‘Always’ is about being seen and viewed by other people: the feeling of being exposed to the world, set to a strange kind of disco, and with a lot of harmonies! It was the last song written for the album and came together really quickly. The last ones always seem to”.
Upcoming Shows:
19 May – The Great Escape, Brighton (Republic Of Music Showcase at Marlborough Pub & Theatre)
15-17 July – Into The Wild Festival, Buckinghamshire
