Today, Friday 8th April London rock band Sabatta release the

single Middle of the Night’ from their same titled album 


Sabatta are a 3 piece led by singer/songwriter Yinka Oyewole based in Elephant and Castle, London, UK. They call their music Grunge Soul. It’s a mixture of Rock, Funk, Punk, Soul and Psychedelia. Making it’s on air debut on 12 March via Gary Crowley’s show on BBC Radio London, home of all things new and emerging in the capital, the new single ‘Middle of the Night’ got a super enthusiastic introduction from the show’s host. The DJ announced ‘I love this’ As the song kicked off  with it’s chameleon groove that twists and morphs from a Punk Funk opening all the way to it’s Fuzzed-out Psych Wah climax – celestial falsetto included. Middle of The Night epitomises Sabatta’s style with it’s mix of witty and narrative lyrics, rugged yet danceable beats and unmistakable guitar riffs. Middle of the Night – Sabatta’s independently released album was released in October 2015. It’s 8 tracks of Grunge Soul – the band’s own particular take on Rock..It’s journey that begins with the spiky pogo bounce of opener Politician (I’m Not A) and concludes in the emotive closer that is Have a Go Hero (Exquisite Pan. The songs on the album evoke the band’s influences,musically and environmentally, with incisive lyrics throughout, while stamping the band’s own very strong personality. The first single from the album was ‘Politician’ which blasted off in Summer 2015 on BBC Radio London, the BBC Introducing Mixtape on 6 Music and Sony Award winning arts station Resonance 104.4 FM to name few.
