SUPER FAN 99 CELEBRATES FIRST YEAR WITH LIMITED CASSETTE COMPILATION OF HARD TO GET HITS INCLUDING WINTER, COTILLON, PEARL CHARLES & QUEEN OF JEANS. OUT 04.03.16 ON CASSETTE & DOWNLOAD.
It’s hard to believe Super Fan 99 has been in existence for only a year, in that time they have released 30 records on tape, vinyl and CD and show no signs of slowing. To celebrate this landmark ‘First Year Hits’ lands next Friday and brings together one track from each artist. Label founder Luke Barham explains;
“I like to put out records on unusual formats. I’ve done lots of strange shapes and sizes of hand cut vinyl and most sell out in just a couple of hours. I’ve grown a very keen fan base for the label who are not only huge fans of the music we release but are collectors too like me. Doing this compilation means people can get hold of some of these sold out releases still on a physical format”
Artwork for the release is by Burger Records Japanese alumni The Boys Age who also features on the compilation with an exclusive track.
Super Fan 99 will be exclusively selling copies at the Under the Arches label fair held by Fuzz Club records on March 5th. Any remaining stock will be on sale through the online store on Monday March 7th. Under the Arches is a new monthly record fair held in Hackney. Other labels such as Captured Tracks, Mexican Summer and Fire Records will also have stands while craft beer and food will be available and a host of bands play in the evening.
