‘Go On is a demonstration of Crabtree’s unique ability to use classical and electronic elements to blur the lines of folk music and leave you breathless.’ – Exclaim!

Tim Crabtree began Paper Beat Scissors after a move from the UK to the windy isolation of Canada’s East Coast. His stark and intimate electro-folk caught the attention of his adoptive homeland on the eponymous debut (mixed by Arcade Fire drummer Jeremy Gara), and attention has been swelling on this side of the Atlantic with BBC plays and captivating sets at festivals across Europe (including Wilderness and Rolling Stone Weekender). The electronically-tinged new album “Go On”, recorded by Dean Nelson (Beck, Bat for Lashes), released to great acclaim in Canada and continental Europe in 2015, will be released in the UK on February 19th 2016 with accompanying live dates.
The Paper Beat Scissors live show is an intense and intimate experience – solo finger-picked laments interweave with a haunting voice that slips into the music, then darts back out to pull the listener in. No stranger to touring, Paper Beat Scissors has shared the stage with the likes of Sun Kil Moon, Great Lake Swimmers and Clogs & My Brightest Diamond.
