In the lead up to the new year, some of the bands we covered here on The Planet of Sounds previously presented their own personal ‘Best of 2015’ lists. We also featured many of the bands we requested participate in our very own Year-End Playlist.
Others, however, must have been too busy partying since they’ve just gotten back to us now 😉 This time around we hear from Stella Diana, who we wrote about earlier here in relation to their ‘Shohet’ single and here regarding their recently-released ‘Alhena’ EP. But seriously, this list was well worth the wait. Coming to us from Naples (Napoli), Italy, Stella Diana is a wonderfully eclectic postpunk shoegazey band that packs a punch. So does their ‘Best of 2015’ list. Check it out below, along with a message from the band… Welcome to 2016 everybody!

Hi everybody!!! We are Stella Diana – Dario, Davide and Giacomo, a shoegazing band from Naples. 2015 was a really exciting year for us. Shoegazing is increasingly popular and a lot of talented band released excellent albums.
We are fully involved with this sonic revival, especially with our new EP ‘Alhena’, released via the label VipChoyo Sound Factory. So far we’ve received such fantastic appreciation by many people, including webzines, blogs and radio stations around the world, but the great thing is the attention that is being drawn to this phenomenon and also, it’s very exciting to be part of this new wave. We play our music, yes, but we hear a lot of new music out there, which is great.
So thanks to The Planet of Sound, who have given us the pleasure of making this personal playlist of our 15 favourite singles of 2015 (not in any specific order) … Enjoy and gaze with us into the new year!
