Hatsune Miku has come a long way these past few years, from music software and Internet mascot to international pop icon. The first Miku Expo concert tour in 2014 was a great milestone, and also tremendous fun. After months of efforts, the Hatsune Miku Expo 2016 North American tour is finally on its way, with more cities than ever before! Of course, the success of the 2014 events made things easier, but putting together a Hatsune Miku show is still a challenging task both logistically and financially. With the hundreds of “Miku come to my town!” requests we receive every day, we know there is still a lot of work to do and ground to cover. And in the case of Hatsune Miku, the phrase “we couldn’t do it without the fans” is to be taken literally,

That is why we wanted to give you, the fans, an opportunity to directly support the Hatsune Miku Expo 2016 North American tour, and at the same time participate in the movement.

The “Miku Expo Let’s Go” campaign was launched last night on PledgeMusic and we’ve put together a menu of very special Miku items and experiences, carefully chosen and designed, that you’ll find nowhere else!

Exclusive menu items include an original wristwatch, an OMOCAT collaboration T-shirt, and even a photo-shoot opportunity with Miku on stage. And for those who have a million dollars to spend, you can have the Miku Expo come to the town of your choice (some restrictions apply) for a concert!!!

About the Hatsune Miku Expo 2016 North American Tour:

Perhaps it was only a matter of time before a virtual 3D performer took the world by storm. On the heels of sold-out concerts in New York, Los Angeles, Indonesia, Shanghai and Japan, Hatsune Miku will return to North America to headline a seven-city tour beginning in Seattle on April 23, 2016.

The Hatsune Miku Expo 2016 North America tour promises to be a seminal moment in entertainment history, giving many North American fans their first chance to experience the international pop culture phenomenon “live” in concert.

Created by Crypton Future Media, Hatsune Miku is the product of a revolutionary music software program that gives creators the ability to produce original music with a synthesized voice and a digitized, virtual performer. The global reaction to Miku has been astonishing. Over 170,000 songs have been released, attracting over 100 million hits on YouTube, not to mention the thousands of illustrations and videos featuring Miku.

Through groundbreaking CG technology, the Hatsune Miku 3D live show features the animated “Miku” projected on stage, singing and dancing alongside a live band. The songs selected for Miku to perform are chosen from thousands of compositions created by a global community of artists. To date, Miku has performed these songs in front of an estimated 200,000 people.

Tickets are now on sale for the Hatsune Miku Expo 2016 North American Tour.
