Whyte Horses reveal new track ‘La Couleur Originelle’ ahead of November UK Tour
New album Pop Or Not will be released in Spring 2016

“the kind of raw materials that could induce a third summer of love” Q Magazine
“Evoking ’80s guitar pop as much as ’60s flower-power atmospheres, as well as Go! Team-esque upbeatness and the sun-bleached lassitude of California lo-fi. Glorious! – The 405
“Fragrant psychedelia which steers clear of standard tropes” Clash
“The record sounds like it belongs in another world; all psychedelic, hazy, dreamy melodies and mutated instruments” Noisey
Listen to ‘La Couleur Originelle’ here:
What happens when you put an obscure Mancunian music chronologist on a three month sojourn in the heart of the Italian countryside with some battered analogue recording gear, some cheap guitars and a female vocalist and friend to explore themes of the human condition and daydreams of fantasy with one piece of decoration: a poster of their favourite band Os Mutantes looming large on the wall, offering some company and direction during this time of solitude?
The answer is a new group of seismic psychedelic proportions. May we present Whyte Horses.
Inspired by the nomadic travels of cult folk artist Mark Fry and outsider Krautrock groups, strange sounds began to emanate from deep within a dilapidated cottage, deep in the Frosinone mountains range with no access to the outside world.
Panoramic views baring an uncanny resemblance to Alejandro Jodorowsky’s epic pseudo-western ‘El Topo’ began to filter the songwriting, as hazyinstrumentals evolved into mutant pop sketches, blurring seventies MOR sensibilities, obscure imagery and everyday thoughts. An album was born.
La Couleur Originelle is the second single to be taken from this upcoming opus. Recalling the wonder of wistful kids theme tune ‘White Horses’, producer Dom Thomas and friends began working on a set of songs that would channel feelings of lost innocence and the optimism of childhood. This tour sees the bands debut UK showing of the forthcoming album taken from those magical sessions.
Having all previously played their own headline shows around the country, ‘Into The Wild’ sees the coming together of Whyte Horses, Mt. Wolf and My Grey Horse in a one-off national tour, with the bands rotating the headliner spot over the course of the two weeks, kicking off in Brighton on 17th November.
