Nina Las Vegas and Swick‘s Cool Sports EP comes out today via Fool’s Gold, just before she plays San Francisco’s 1015 Folsom and Voodoo Music and Arts Festival. The EP includes two crazy remixes courtesy of grime re-animator Iglew and LuckyMe bad bwoy Joseph Marinetti. You can find it here.

The groundbreaking Sydney DJ announced last week that she would give up her 10+year job responsibilities for triple j radio’s long-running “House Party”, “Mix Up Exclusives” to start up her own record lable NLV Records and her own ecstatic, innovative “NLV Presents” tours. The recently crowned #girlboss announces the first batch of artist signings to the new label, leading with Melbourne house authority Lewis Cancut (check “Systems” HERE) , genre-bending DJ/producer Swick, “oblique club” pioneer Air Max ’97, and industrial grime extraordinaire Strict Face together with Nina herself providing the foundation of the NLV Records family. More info on the official NLV Records website.

Her keen ear has kept her at the forefront of the Australian dance music scene helping to foster and break emerging talent. Swick is Melbourne’s own well-shaken can of bubbly fizzy drink whose body-moving bonafides include oiling up J-Lo’s “Booty” with Diplo and a deeeeeep discography of experimental club bangers. These two OZ OGs have combined forces for Cool Sports, a hyperactive three-track EP of laser jams, tweaked pop, FIFA club, and assorted power-ups that will leave you sweaty, smiling, and fiending for more.
