Boom Forest is excited to be nearing the release of the new album Post Knight Errant, out November 6th. The latest track, “Stay” (featuring Adam Duritz), is streaming now via SoundCloud. Consequence of Sound hails it as “a fantastical number led by a whirlwind of overlapping vocals.”

They’ve given early praise to the record as a whole, calling it “a style of experimental folk that’s both idyllic and futuristic.” Boom Forest just finished up a fall tour with good friends in Kopecky after a performance at Austin City Limits earlier this month. Boom Forest is slated to play as part of the Red Bull Sound Select: 30 Days In LA festival this November, after his record release show in Nashville at The Basement on November 6th.

Boom Forest is the musical outlet for Nashville based and Baraboo, WI grown musician John Paul Roney. As part of the Boom Forest project, Roney has developed a mythology surrounding the music, and when recorded and on stage, performs as John Rayne, “a techno-evangelist bard from a post-apocalyptic American future.” Through their albums and live shows, Boom Forest aim to engage and transport their listeners to this alternate reality, even if only for an hour.

Upcoming tour dates:
NOVEMBER
06 – Nashville, TN – The Basement (Record Release Show) w/ Gardening, Not Architecture
and Photo Ops
16 – Los Angeles, CA – Red Bull Sound Select: 30 Days In LA (Bardot) w/ Boy & Bear
