On Friday 13th November 2015, R*E*P*E*A*T Records and Pure Deadly are extremely proud to release THIS IS THE

SOUND OF SUGAR TOWN: a 12” vinyl and download album featuring twelve

amazing acts from the UK’s unsung DIY rock capital, Bury St Edmunds.

unnamed (50)

Featuring new and exclusive tracks by CATHEDRALS AND CARS, ELEANOR LOU, THE FEW, FORTUNATO, HORSE PARTY, THE MACHISMO’S, PALE FIRES, RATS AS BIG AS DOGS, SCARE THE NORMALS, TRYAL OF WITCHES, THE VITAMINS and VOTER KERNEL plus a cover painted by local artist and musician (and former Long Blonde) KATE JACKSON, all profits from this fine compilation will be donated to Bury St Edmunds Women’s Refuge.

The 12” album is strictly limited to 300 copies and can be pre-ordered now from www.repeatfanzine.bandcamp.com “Beautiful and limited, this very limited edition record may end up along with the sugar beet factory as being synonymous with Bury St Edmunds. And just as sweet! It includes a full colour sleeve (featuring an iconic painting by local artist Kate Jackson) and insert, plus download code.

“The album features new tracks from many of the bands from Bury’s thriving underground music scene, based around the eclectic, inclusive and rather wonderful Washing Machine Club. Who would have thought a town of 35,000 could produce such vibrant and diverse quality?”

Richard Rose, R*E*P*E*A*T Records
