“A swirling haze of chilled-out beats, dual vocals and less-is-more guitars. There are nods of Tame Impala and the psych-pop sounds that have come out of the Heavenly Records stable in recent years” – NME
Psychedelic pop quartet Palm Honey have released their second single Bewitched. The track is the perfect follow-up to 2014 debut effort Palace with its swirling, grooving opus pulling you in and sending you spiralling through a vortex of intertwining synth and guitar lines.
Palm Honey excel at taking the psychedelic pop genre and turning it on its head, with Bewitched blending upbeat melodies and beats and extended jams with darker lyrics that hint at themes of anxiety and neurosis.
The Reading four-piece have already supported the likes of Boxed In and Superfood and are currently in the studio working on new material due out early next year. Coupled with gigs at The Secret Festival in Brighton on 25th October and The Horn, St Albans for Juicebox Indie on 12th December, interest in the band is sure to intensify in the coming months.
Palm Honey’s Bewitched is released on 28th October and will be available to purchase on iTunes and stream on Spotify.
