“With his inaugural single, JAKL has crafted an intimate, sincere and personal fanfare. It’s the perfect introduction to an artist that has all the potential of quickly becoming a favourite.” – When The Gramophone Rings

London based artist JAKL has announced the upcoming release of his debut single ‘The Jackal’. The track offers the perfect insight into the talented musician’s sound, whose dark, piano-led songs tackle love and loss with swirling oceans of reverb, rousing choruses and abstract hints of world and electronic music.

JAKL’s emotionally raw and uplifting music has already landed him a series of impressive gigs with an appearance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival (only his third show) and a sold-out headline Communion show at The Waiting Room in September adding to their growing live support. The Londoner has also secured extensive national radio airplay from a Huw Stephens session to Jo Good (XFM), BBC Introducing and BBC 6 Music.

With the announcement of his headline show at St Pancras Old Church on 10thDecember, and upcoming Sofar Sounds and Mahogany sessions in the next few months, interest in the artist is sure to intensify.
