WRAY Announce Sophomore LP ‘Hypatia’ + Tour Dates Fall 2015

WRAY Announce Sophomore
Album Hypatia Out Fall 2015

Announce Tour Dates with
Man or Astro-Man? & Turbo Fruits

“A wash of distortion, a motorik beat, an impassive and nearly drowned-out vocal: These are the essential building blocks for Wray, a three-piece band pursuing its own extrapolation of shoegaze, surf-punk and lo-fi garage-rock.”
The New York Times

WRAY’s sophomore album, Hypatia, is complete and set to release this fall! It was recorded at Communicating Vessels Studios in Birmingham, Alabama by engineer Lynn Briges (Devendra Banhart, Dexateens), mixed by Daniel Farris (Man Or Astro-man?, St. Vincent, Polyphonic Spree) and mastered by Paul Logus (Public Enemy, Anthrax). This will be a follow-up work worth boasting about. The album’s artwork direction and design are credited to the talents of Tamaryn and Shaun Durkan (The Weekend)! Keep your eyes open and ears ready because Hypatia is coming your way very soon.

But before the album hits streets, WRAY will continue to stay on the road. This week they play a handful of dates with Man Or Astro-man? and Turbo Fruits. That’s a solid show worth checking out if they’re in your area. And they’ll continue to tour regionally in the month of September. See dates below.
