William Phillips/ Tourist wins GRAMMY “Song of the Year” for co-writing Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me”

The London based William Phillips (Tourist) wins GRAMMY category “Song of the Year” for co-writing “Stay With Me” with Sam Smith and James Napier.

William Phillips aka Tourist was featured in BillboardThe Hollywood Reporter while on the Red Carpet at the GRAMMYs pre-show. Leading up to the ceremony he talked with FADER Magazine and Billboard about his upcoming Tourist debut album U out this summer via Polydor/Interscope.

“Stay With Me” from Sam Smith’s album In The Lonely Hour swept the category for “Song Of The Year” and contributed to GRAMMY win for Sam Smith “Artist Of The Year” while also earning Smith 4 Grammy wins.

Tourist project Patterns EP was released last year to critical acclaim and NPR recorded his live set at Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit HERE. The track “Can’t Keep Up” ft Will Heard has been to the top of the Hype Machine charts more than once. His rising reputation as an electronic dance artist is also highlighted by remixes for HaimChvrches, London Grammar etc.
